Make plans now to be whisked away by the ambience of the romantic streets of Paris! This year’s Gala will be held on Friday, September 24th at the beautiful Abbott Event Space in the heart of the Crossroads.
The event will be a HYBRID event with In-Person and Virtual Tickets available. All virtual attendees will receive a link 2-3 days prior to the Gala.
Cocktail hour with cash bar and live music from 6-7pm, followed by buffet dinner and awards program. Exquisite desserts by Chef Tiffany Bohm-Taff. Parisian music by instrumentalist Jane Christison.
Every year we honor individuals, organizations and businesses in Kansas City who advocate for people with disabilities through their actions and support.
An Evening in Paris will be held at The Abbott which features a first-class guest experience in a strikingly decorated re-purposed warehouse. Located in the unique and energetic East Crossroads neighborhood of Kansas City.
The Abbott is the ideal setting for our memorable event and features a white washed vaulted ceiling, white washed original brick walls, 5 stunning chandeliers, polished concrete floors, glass walls and a private outdoor patio. The Abbott is a perfect location for our themed Gala this year, its beauty compliments the beauty of the evening.
Each Table Host strives to fill a table of 10 people, creating their own guest list and spending an inspirational evening surrounded with friends and family. You can even Co-Host your table with a friend if you like. It is a great way to guarantee you are sitting with a table full of friends. As a “thank you” for helping to support this event, Table Hosts will be listed our program booklet and night of event signage.
We would like to thank Jennifer Salva and Logan Weed who are serving as Co-Chairs of the "An Evening in Paris" Planning Committee. Jennifer, an Attorney for Kuckelman Torline Kirkland, is driven by a dedication to meaningful inclusion and justice for individuals of all ability levels in our community. Logan is a Project Manager at LLC RCC Framing, LLC, an experienced designer with a proven background in the building components industry.

We are thrilled to have Kelly Eckerman serve as Emcee for our In-Person Gala. Kelly has been a KMBC 9 News anchor and reporter for more than two decades. Born in Russell, Kansas, she fell into a TV career iand worked at various stations in Iowa and Illinois before coming to Kansas City in 1990. Kelly has won a regional Edward R. Murrow award for her reporting, and is a two-time Emmy winner. She's also won various state and regional reporting awards. Kelly works with numerous charities throughout the year."
