Expressions Art Exhibition:  2022 Call for Artists

The Whole Person is seeking artists for our 12th Annual Expressions Art Exhibition. This is an opportunity for artists with disabilities to exhibit their work in a professional setting while making connections with the Kansas City arts community. Applications will be accepted until January 17, 2022 at 11:59 pm (CST).

Expressions is a juried art exhibition. If selected, exhibiting artists’ works will remain on display at multiple venues through March 2023. Selected artists will receive an honorarium.

Who can apply?  All artists, 18 years old and over, with documented or self-identified disabilities (physical, cognitive, mental health, chronic health conditions, sensory, or other) in the Greater Kansas City area are invited to submit their work for consideration in the 12th Annual Expressions Art Exhibition. Artists working in various mediums (painting, photography, graphics, print, sculpture, dance, music, spoken word, etc.) are encouraged to apply.

How are artists selected?  Artists will be selected by a volunteer committee of arts professionals, who will look for artistic merit and thoughtful responses to questions about your work.

How to apply:

The deadline to apply for the 2022 Expressions Art Exhibition is January 17, 2022.
