Consumer Directed Services and In-Home Care
TWP staff members Jimmy Johnson and Lakeitha Kelley-Lavan shared information about our Consumer Directed Services (CDS) and In-Home Care programs on Kansas City Live this morning! These programs are available to people with disabilities in Missouri (Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte counties.)
The Missouri Consumer Directed Services program helps people with significant physical disabilities obtain assistance with personal care and daily activities to maintain or increase their independence. This includes services in the home such as meal preparation, cleaning and personal hygiene. In-Home Care provides high quality home care services to individuals with disabilities who desire to live independently in a home setting. Both programs have eligibility guidelines.
Appearance on Kansas City Live! on November 6, 2018.
The Whole Person connects people with disabilities to the resources they need by supporting independent choice and advocating for positive change in the community. Jim Johnson and Lakeitha Kelley-Lavan discuss the services they provide, including the Consumer Directed Services Program, In-Home Health Care and the Healthy Children and Youth Program.
Appearance on Kansas City Live! on August 22, 2018.
