Wheelchair Self-Defense Class
The Whole Person will be partnering with Kansas City Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (KCBJJ) to present a self-defense class tailor made for people in wheelchairs. This will be basic grabs, holds, and deflection methods.
The classes will be held February 13 and 20, 2021, 10:00-11:30 am, at the Olathe Community Center, 1205 E Kansas City Rd, Olathe, KS 66061.
KCBJJ is among the longest standing Jiu Jitsu academies in the Kansas City Metro, having formed in it’s current iteration in 2004. Primary instructor Jason Bircher began his own training in 1998, and has maintained an environment open to high level competitors and casual practitioners throughout the existence of the school. Members take an equal pride in the welcoming nature of the academy, as well as the accomplishments of our team on all levels.
Masks will be required, however there will be close contact.
