Yoga in the Kansas City Metro Area
MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital is offering adaptive yoga at its facility in Overland Park, KS. Adaptive yoga is an all-levels yoga class catered to persons living with disabilities. This class will be lead by a group of certified yoga instructors who are specially trained in adaptive yoga through Mind Body Solutions.
Class attendees are welcome to bring caregivers, family, or friends with them. Minors are also welcome, as long as they are accompanied by their legal guardian. MidAmerica will have physical and occupational therapists available to assist in transferring and mobility as well.
RSVP’s are highly encouraged, so that we may appropriately staff the class.
WHEN: The last Tuesday of every month. Class will be one hour starting at 6pm, new attendees are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes early.
WHERE: Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital, 5701 W 110th Street, Overland Park, KS 66211. Classes are held upstairs, in the inpatient therapy gym.
