Planting Independence

Planting Independence is an annual community event hosted by The Whole Person that helps people with disabilities by assisting them in cleaning up their yards.

Held each spring near Earth Day, the event brings the community together through volunteer yard work. Volunteers come together to do basic yard work—such as mowing, trimming, weeding, raking, and removing debris—so our consumers have a safe space.

Volunteering

It’s a day of teamwork, service, and strengthening community connections. If you are interested in volunteering, use our online form and we will send you the details.
