How We Can Help
Finding and keeping meaningful employment can be challenging, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. The Whole Person provides a variety of employment services tailored to individuals with disabilities, helping them build skills, gain confidence, and secure jobs that align with their goals.
Whether you need career guidance, job placement assistance, or workplace accommodations, we’re here to support your journey to success. Everyone deserves the opportunity to work in an inclusive environment, and we’re committed to making that a reality.
Services Include:
- Job search and placement assistance for individuals with disabilities
- Support for employers seeking to diversify their workforce
Eligibility:
- The job seeker must have a disability and must be at least 16 years old
- A client of Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation or Kansas Vocational Services
What You Can Expect
Job Seekers
We will help you develop an Employment Service Plan which is tailored to your needs and interests, which may include help to:
- Assess your skills
- Discover jobs you may not have knowledge of
- Prepare a resume and cover letter
- Complete applications on paper and on-line
- Practice answering difficult interview questions
- Connect with employers
- Participate in job fairs and career fairs
- Learn how to discuss accommodation needs with your employer
- Succeed and adjust to your job once you return to work

Our Employment Services team supports both employers and employees during initial training to ensure productivity and alignment with expectations.
Hiring individuals with disabilities helps create a diverse workforce, giving your organization a competitive edge and maximizing its potential.
We offer guidance on:
- Recruiting, screening, and referrals
- Disability consultation and training
- Assistive technology and job accommodation solutions
- State and federal financial incentives
- Proper use of Braille signage and visual management
- Collaboration on job fairs to attract qualified candidates with disabilities

Getting Started
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) provides a broad range of services to help people with disabilities to enter or maintain employment. VR refers to service providers such as The Whole Person to provide individualized job placement assistance. Our goal is to help you find a position to match your abilities and interests.
Missouri Residents
If you are determined to be eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation, VR will provide a list of agencies to choose from.
