Science Experience for Blind and Low-Vision Students
Presented by the National Federation of the Blind:
Join the NFB of Missouri for an exciting day of investigation and discovery! Programs will be held on August 15 in Kansas City at The Whole Person Independent Living Center and on August 22 at the St. Louis Society for the Blind & Visually Impaired, both from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This year, blind and low-vision students will step into the role of forensic scientists.
Using accessible, nonvisual tools and techniques, participants will analyze clues, solve challenges, and uncover the truth through hands-on forensic experiments. Every activity builds confidence and shows how science can be accessible, engaging, and exciting for everyone.
This opportunity offers your child:
- Blind role models
- Accessible experiments
- Hands-on nonvisual skills instruction
