DIY Life Skills – July
Join The Whole Person for DIY Life Skills, a peer group designed for youth ages 18-24 who want to learn and strengthen their independent living skills.
Held every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 2:00–3:00 PM, this small-group setting is open to all Consumers and covers essential topics like relationships, communication, hygiene, advocacy, healthy eating, employment, and more!
July’s Theme: Communication Skills
In July, we’ll explore the different types of communication we use every day and why each one is important. We’ll discuss how we communicate verbally through spoken words, nonverbally through body language, in writing through texts and emails, and visually through images. Understanding all these forms of communication helps us connect more effectively with others. After the discussion, we’ll engage in a fun craft to reinforce the idea of how we express ourselves!
