The Whole Person - The Whole Person’s Adaptive Sports Program provides diverse and inclusive play opportunities at competitive and recreational levels for people with disabilities living in the greater Kansas City area.

Active Cities Kansas City - Find adaptive sports programs, inclusive recreation and disability resources in Kansas City.

Johnson County Parks & Recreation District - Special Population Program; Provides fun, educational and socializing activities for members of the Johnson County, Kansas community with special needs.

Kansas City Metro Special Olympics - To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with Mental retardation to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship.

Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation - Provides inclusive recreation opportunities to welcome accommodate and successfully include individuals with disabilities within the existing Parks and Recreation Department programs.

Midwest Adaptive Sports - Organization helping people with disabilities get back into sports.

CLO’s Midnight Farms – Baldwin City, KS - Accessible horse trails, horse drawn wagon rides, pumpkin and blueberry patches, picnic areas, accessible camp site, and a rustic cedar meeting lodge. Equestrian arena designed by PATH International Therapeutic Riding program.

Camp Barnabas – Shell Knob, MO; Changing the lives of those with special needs and chronic illnesses in a camp setting.

Wonderland Camp - Rocky Mount, MO, Lake of the Ozarks; Wonderland Camp is an accessible summer camp for people with disabilities.

Creative Mobility - Creative Mobility is about putting a positive spin on adaptive bikes. Specializing in helping you find the right equipment solution for your specific needs.

Dive Pirates Foundation - The Dive Pirates Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing scuba diving to persons with disabilities and joining them with the mainstream of divers. Its vision is to create a community of divers that will dive and travel in the mainstream world of scuba diving through education and overcoming obstacles.

Mobility International USA (MIUSA) - MIUSA is a nonprofit membership organization for persons with disabilities and other interested people. It works to expand opportunities for persons with disabilities to be involved in international educational exchange programs and travel. MIUSA members receive information and referral services in the areas of travel and placement in international work camps and educational exchange programs. MISUA also conducts international leadership training for persons with disabilities. Many publications are also available.

National Center on Accessibility - Focuses on making parks, recreation, and tourism accessible to individuals with disabilities, provides information on: access for individuals with disabilities to park and recreation areas and programs; training programs and opportunities; technical assistance for park and recreation professionals; and research and demonstration projects.

National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) - Information and resources that can enable people with disabilities to become as physically active as they choose to be. They maintain searchable directories of organizations, programs, and facilities that provide opportunities for accessible physical activity; adaptive equipment vendors; conferences and meetings; and references to journal articles, books, videos and more. Fact sheets on a variety of physical activities for people with disabilities are also available.

Project Mobility - Providing adaptive bikes and cycling opportunities to improve the quality of life for children, adults, and wounded service members with emotional and physical challenges.

United States Adaptive Recreation Center - The USARC works with schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and park and recreation departments to serve children and adults with all types of cognitive or physical disabilities. A variety of summer and winger recreational opportunities are offered. Reservations, by individuals and groups, are required for all USARC programs.
