  • Founded by blind and sighted experts in the areas of accessibility, technology and medicine, Accessible Pharmacy is the only provider of its kind and the largest blind-owned company in the USA. Accessible Pharmacy coordinates with doctors and insurance to help keep costs low. They also work with patients to try different packaging and labeling solutions to maximize compliance and healthcare benefits.

  • The AER is a professional membership organization dedicated to professionals who provide services to persons with vision loss. They promote and support the professions by advocating for evidence-based practices, high-quality standards, value-added resources, and giving voice to issues of critical importance. They provide professional development through conferences, virtual offerings, and publications to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and abilities of professionals within the field.

  • Alphapointe is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has continued to serve people who are blind and visually impaired in the Kansas City, Missouri community and surrounding region.

It also emphasizes the importance of building a supportive educational team and ensuring smooth transitions, with insights and personal stories.

  • Provides informational and recreational materials in braille and audio formats, free of charge, to Missourians who are unable to use standard print materials due to blindness, visual or physical impairment, or a reading disability, either temporary or permanent.
