2013 Celebration Awards Luncheon

The Whole Person is proud of our partnership with author Michael Hingson who served as the Keynote Speaker at our 2013 Celebration Luncheon. Michael Hingson is a New York Times best-selling author and international lecturer. Michael, blind since birth, survived the 9/11 attacks with the help of his guide dog Roselle. Hingson does much more than simply tell his own 9-11 story; he continuously explores the broader lessons of his life and experiences while inspiring and motivating audiences.

2013 Celebration Awards:  Keynote, John Hockenberry

The Whole Person is proud of our partnership with award-winning journalist and author John Hockenberry, who served as the Honorary Event Chair and Keynote Speaker at our 2012 Celebration Luncheon. Mr. Hockenberry is a host and correspondent for network programs on NPR, ABC and the NBC News. Assignments from these programs have brought him to conflict zones around the world including Iraq, Zaire, and Afghanistan, as well as important domestic stories in the U.S. Mr. Hockenberry is a high profile advocate for social justice and the rights of the people with disabilities. He has argued for disability rights at the United Nations and at the White House.

Message from John Hockenberry extending his best on the ribbon-cutting of our new building in 2013.

We are thrilled to present this video from John Hockenberry to The Whole Person. John wanted to be here with us to celebrate, but was unable to because of previous commitments. He sent along a video for us to share with you today.
