2018 Volunteer Group of the Year - Cerner

The Whole Person is thrilled to announce that Cerner has been awarded the 2018 Volunteer Group of the Year Award for their contribution to the support of our organization. Chris Herzog accepted the award on behalf of Cerner at our “It’s Magic!” Night of Independence Gala, held Saturday, September 22 at Union Station’s Grand Plaza.

Cerner stepped up with around 30 volunteers and provided manpower to clean up the yards of two TWP consumers, donating money to purchase needed supplies for the “Planting Independence One Yard at a Time Event” last fall. Planting Independence is a program which provides assistance with general yard clean-up for consumers who receive our services. TWP partners with volunteer groups to perform low to moderate risk activities such as mowing, raking, weeding, and planting, twice a year on a Saturday morning. This year Cerner stepped up BIG and we hope to be partners for a long time to come.
