Wheelchair Tennis Program
The wheelchair tennis program is an adaptive tennis program for adults with physical disabilities, who play the game of adaptive tennis at an amateur or competitive level, at United States Tennis Association (USTA) sanctioned tournaments throughout the Midwest region - including the US Open.
Adaptive tennis skills range from the beginner to the advanced. As players compete in tournaments they can accumulate points as they win matches which ultimately improves their national USTA rankings.
Do you know someone who might like to come play but doesn't have a sport chair? We have some to loan! If you would like to bring someone with you (a teammate) who is, or is not, in a wheelchair who would like to try out wheelchair tennis, email Melissa (email below) before Thursday's practice and we can have a chair for you, or your teammate to try. Everyone is welcome.
Practices at the Northland Racquet Club, 306 Tennis Ct., North Kansas City, MO: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursdays. Cost is $5.00 per practice, with the first practice free!
Participants will need to sign a waiver before they can play.
