I create imagery based on my favorite moments, places and experiences shared with others. Much of my work contains multiple elements of pattern, and I will often choose objects to draw over and over until the subject is exhausted. These “Silly Cups” come from a recent series of more than 50 small paintings and drawings created at Imagine That KC! where I am supported and represented. The entire series was shown alongside KC artist Stephen Proski in the exhibit “I Think Next Week I’m Not Going To Have Any Problems” at Juice Box Gallery, in which both artists asked, “is that shaded properly?”
