I started drawing at an early age. One of my earliest childhood memories is drawing butterflies at age 4 or 5, on my chalkboard with my father. Even now, that memory makes me smile. I would say that I associate a kind of happiness in being creative, whether I am drawing, painting or doing simple crafts with my granddaughter.
Why do I draw and paint? It makes me happy. I enjoy doing it, it’s almost therapeutic for me. But really why do I draw and paint – because it gives me such joy when I see the smile on others faces when they look at my paintings. It’s the happiness I can give to others.
